Inaugural Rudd Masters Round-Table Participants
Saint Helena, CA – Ten Advanced Sommeliers and 12 Master Sommeliers gathered to participate in the inaugural Rudd Masters Round-Table. Designed to provide Sommelier with an intimate and intensive learning environment, the Rudd Round-Table was a full day of best practices discussions and hands on learning sessions in wine tasting, fine wine service and global wine knowledge
“Our ongoing focus is to enhance wine education and improve wine and beverage service across the U.S.” said Fred Dame, MS, President of the Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation who organized the event. Dame added “Our thanks to the Rudd Foundation for helping us expand our outreach programs.” The day-long session, made possible by a generous grant from the Rudd Foundation, concluded with a celebratory dinner in the caves at the Rudd Winery. Lesley Rudd, owner of Rudd Winery, Dean & Deluca, Oakville Grocery, Distillery No 209 and Edge Hill Winery and Wendi Webster, Executive Director of the Rudd Foundation joined the sommeliers.
