Are there any good books on websites on fruit brandies? Seems like every year while studying, something new catches my interest. And while I found enough info to help me decide on a few bottles of Calvados to try (thank you Vinous article/reviews), I have not been able to find dedicated websites or books on the subject.
Also, if anybody has recommendations for European producers (excluding Calvados, which is pretty straight forward) that are available in the States, I am all ears. I do know that Reisetbauer should be high on my list, while Rochelt is more than I am willing to spend at this point.
thanks for the help
Capovilla is also an excellent producer of fruit eaux-de-vie. They come through Jan d'Amore in NYC... not sure what their distribution is like elsewhere in the country.
Those are great. Also Reisetbauer from Austria.
Capovilla is reallly really good, and available through Lyra in California...
