Currently on Paros, going to Santorini after....Where are the best winery visits here?
Domaine Sigalas is worth stopping in. NE of Oia.Estate Argyros south of Thira.Santo Wines is a very hospitality-focused spot and is my favorite place on the island to watch the sunset.
I'm heading to Santorini as well as cruising around the other islands in the Cyclades in a couple of weeks and also would love to hear some suggestions for Santorini in particular as well as any other islands in the area including Paros.
Yiannis Karakasis MW, any suggestions here?
In Santorini definitely Domaine Sigalas. Santo is beautiful but not much for education or tours (that I know of). Hatzidakis and Gavalas were also some of my favorites!!
Hi Michael. Plenty of interesting wineries in Santorini with close to 20 producers now. Any of the Sigalas, Karamolegos, Vassaltis, Hatzidakis, Gavalas, Argyros, Gaia will do the trick. Venetsanos and Santo offer amazing view to the caldera. Might worth a visit to Thirassia where Mikra Thira has founded a new winery. Avantis also a new kid on the blog. Might be missing something but these are more or less. Ah Tselepos also has a small winery, never being there though....For more info on the 2019 harvest here is a link https://www.karakasis.mw/2019-harvest-santorini-trouble-paradise
For Paros Moraitis is the biggest producer but there are some smaller scale also.
Check out the wine museum at Koutsoyannopoulos.
Thank you Yiannis!
