Bellvue Deductive Tasting Workshop

Hello, all! I am planning to attend the Nov 20 Master Sommeliers Deductive Tasting Workshop in Bellevue, Wa. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for "don't miss" experiences in Seattle?

  • Jessica,

    • Spinasse - Piedmontese cuisine that can be better than the food in Piedmont! Don't miss the tajarin with butter and sage or the trout en carpione
    • Canon - one of the best collection of whiskies on the planet and really creative cocktails
    • KEXP - take a tour of the radio station and have amazing coffee at the La Marzocco cafe from their rotating featured roaster program
    • Analog coffee - my favorite neighborhood shop, grab breakfast next door at B-Side
    • Pike Place Market - iconic and a lot of fun. Have lunch at Matt's in the Market
    • Cafe Juanita - if you don't mind an Lyft ride across the lake, this is one of my favorite spots for a broader look at Italian cuisine
    • Bar Melusine - oysters!
    • General Porpoise doughnuts - need I say more?
    • Salare - an interesting place for African/French/Southern US menu. Delicious brunch too
    • Underground tour - see the seedy underbelly of Seattle
    • MoPop - learn about the origins of grunge and rockstars
    • Seaplane tours - the best way to see the Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. Go eat at Willows on Lummi if you have the time and cash.

That should keep you busy for a while! Have fun, Chris
