2 Day Portland Experience Suggestions

Heading to Portland in July for the Alsace Masterclass. Embarrassingly my first time and appreciate recommendations from locals, or others, who have had the most fabulous experiences with dining & art. Advice for lodging will be useful as well. Grateful in advance!

  • I am particularly fond of Ava Gene's (Italian fare, excellent vegetable dishes, great wine list) and Maurice (perfect for a full-fledged meal, a snack or just something sweet).

Pepe le Moko is great for its speakeasy vibe and cocktails, and you should be sure to eat some ice cream at Salt & Straw.

Southeast Wine Collective is a worthwhile stop as well. Several Oregon winemakers use their space for production, and they have those wines among others. It's an easy way to taste a number of Oregon wines in one fell swoop!

As for lodging, I've had great luck with Airbnb.
