I have received quite a few requests the past fortnight for my StudyTech guide. I am posting the latest iteration (1.04). I have added some notes on the most recent studies on memory consolidation and rest, and have also expanded the section on the use of notecards and maps.
I am in the process of putting together another StudyTech geared more towards the WSET/MW exams. I will be sitting the MW this June and hope to have the 1.0 version ready to send out in the Summer. The understanding, breadth, and style of information needed for WSET Diploma and MW (Definitely!!!) is very different than that required for the CMS, and requires a different type of study. I will have a better idea after June whether the techniques I am using (and the methods I could see being relevant for other people) are actually effective.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Hopefully this guide will be of help.
1.04?! Great, now I have re-learn everything!
This is incredible, thank you!
Thanks for updating this. When will the MW version be out?
I have said time and time again how much this format helped me in my studies...and focusing on the why and what's important rather than rote memory. Tell the story....connect the dots. Thanks again Robert Ord
Sitting on Monday. Hopefully by end of Summer. Congratulations again on your Champagne Victory!!!!!
Of course. Glad it was of help, I feel it is more a guide or reassurance to awesome people like yourself who are smart and motivated. You already know everything I wrote, just useful to have most of it in one place :)
This is outstanding. I guess I’ll stop with my digital flash cards
