I was wondering if anyone had advice on studying vintages for the advanced. I am currently sifting through decanter.com, as well as a few other publications. Is there a better way of learning vintages for specific regions?
Much thanks for any help,
I just found this one:
specialised in Bordeaux vintages
hope that will help :))
BBR.com has a a whole section dedicated to vintages under the 'knowledge' tab. Not only do they give scores on a 1-10 scale and state whether to drink, hold or past, they also give detailed information about each vintage so you can gain knowledge past the score itself. Enjoy!
Thanks all! Yes David that is my biggest concern, when I see a chart with a list of scores and "keep-drink now- etc" I don't feel that I'm really learning anything.
Sotheby's has a really good vintage guide in their index. Over all though, I think its always a good idea to cross check between multiple sources.
