I'll be doing a lot of driving this weekend, and I would love to listen to some wine podcasts. What are your favorites? Would also take recommendations for anything industry or beverage-related.
"I'll Drink to that" with Levy Dalton is a must and should keep you busy for awhile : )
Check out "Food Talk with Mike Colameco", (http://heritageradionetwork.org/series/food-talk-with-mike-colameco/). Virtually every episode has something wine-related, and a significant number are wine-focused, either with a Somm as a guest or with a focus on a specific wine region.
My podcast! The Wine Situation I also love Wine for Sophisticated Homies!
The GuildSomm one is pretty good sometimes
There are so many great podcasts - do you recommend starting with any in particular?
"In the Drink" and "Grape Nation" are both very excellent with loads of talented guests.
My favorite is Wine for Normal People. Wonderful show.
If you're looking for a podcast about wine that comes at it from a different perspective, I've been really enjoying "Pairing" by Emma Sherr-Ziarko, who talks about pairing wine with art and pop culture. She comes from an artistic background but has been working in wine for years so she knows what she's talking about. Highly recommended!
ciao Michelle, should you be interested in Italian Wine, Monty Waldin does a small podcast called Italian Wine Podcast http://www.italianwinepodcast.com buon ascolto!
Levy Dalton is hands down the best wine podcast out there. Interviews include the following domaines (I can't remember all of the first names!): Bartolo Mascarello, Roulot, Lafon, Kongssgard, Prevost, Gonon, Chave, Lafarge, Lopez de Heredia (Vina Tondonia), CVNE, Produttori, Chartogne Taillet, Doug Frost... the list goes on an on
