GuildSomm is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Allen to its board of directors. He will officially join the board on March 1st, 2021 for a two-year term, with the option to commit to additional terms. Allen brings crucial financial expertise and industry-specific experience to the board.
Since 2009, Allen has been managing partner of Allen Wine Group, a Sonoma County-based wine industry advisory firm that provides accounting and bookkeeping services. Prior to his tenure at Allen Wine Group, he spent 14 years in the roles of controller, director of operations and finance, CFO, and president at wineries including Kuleto Estate, Rosenblum Cellars, and Sonoma-Cutrer. He also worked for five years at a Big Four CPA firm, serving winery clients. Allen has pursued wine education through WSET, with the goal of achieving the Master of Wine certification.
Allen comments, “I joined the GuildSomm Board of Directors to serve as the board’s financial professional, to maintain existing policies and procedures that are in place and functioning well, and to propose changes where the organization can benefit from change.” The GuildSomm Board of Directors is grateful for the perspective and knowledge that Allen will bring in this pivotal moment for GuildSomm.
