Bolivia also produces a brandy made from wine grapes called Singani, thought it is much more narrowly defined as 1) Muscat of Alexandria grapes, 2) High altitude vineyards, winemaking and distillation 3) and from specific regions defined by the DO. The character that you mention with date 1613, called Pedro Manuel Bofia, inhabitant in Pisco is known as "Greek" and relates in his testament brandy and pots that contained it, is a benchmark of our history with Pisco, it is worth mentioning that the date that is data the document is from 1613, but from very before his death is already produced grape brandy in Peru.

If it is a requirement to Establish the vintage year on the label . Regards

The blend is great for making cocktails and is very reasonably priced. For sipping and savoring, the single varietals are much more interesting and enjoyable, and only slightly more expensive. Salud!

My confusion arose from my poor translations of Spanish into English. I read the flavor characteristics of the small dark green citrus used to make my pisco sours in Ica and Lima, as being similar to a Key lime. The limóns de Pica I find here in Santiago have a very similar appearance and aromatic profile. I assumed that they were the same fruit. Can you send a photo of the lemon that you're referring to? Thanks very much.

The lemon from Pica is not used in Perú. The oasis of Pica is located in the province of Iquique, on the I Region.

In Perú we used a Lemon that is very similar to a Key lime or lime.
