Hadn't seen this before and wish i had before visiting last october. that said, your account of FTA era development of industry from primarily hybrid growing comes as a bit of a surprise as i assumed that there was a germanic tradition that stretched back further into history. provincial touches i encountered like ehrenfelser (grey monk) and solera aged muscat (stag hollow) seemed from a very different era than meyer chard and nichol syrah. thanks so much!

This May will be my 6th trip to the Okanagan, for rock climbing and wine drinking. I love the wine in this area and it's nice to see it getting some attention. Thanks Kelli!

I was wrong about Ortega and have adjusted the article accordingly. And yes I most certainly will visit next time!

Thank you for shedding more light on our beautiful little region. You must visit Vancouver Island next time. Just one little comment and please correct me if the information I have is out of date but to the best of my knowledge Ortega is a cross of Muller-Thurgau x Siegerrebe thus is Vitis Vinifera.
