I pointed to this article in a conversation in my tasting group tonight. I was arguing with a point made that if a wine said "Napa Valley" it had to be 100% grown within the valley. As your article and my research states, it's 85%. That's right, right? If it says a vineyard name then the grapes have to be from that vineyard, but if it only says an AVA then only 85% of the grapes have to be grown in that AVA to be labelled. Just checking, I'm trying to find sources that state what the other guy said but I'm coming up short.
