We're all still learning here, and it is difficult to claim the Truth ... .still, here is something to consider:

What is meant by "Living Soil?" We have learned that vine roots (and roots of plants in general) interact with the soil, not as an inorganic substrate, but rather, that interaction is mediated by a complex ecology of fungi and bacteria - a symbiosis between the plant and the soil microbiome. . .

Consider then, the mode of action of Glyphosate (RoundUp), which acts by disrupting the Shikamate Pathway. Consider also, that this same pathway is essential to bacteria and fungi. ...

The conclusion must be that Glyphosate has the potential to disrupt the symbiosis between the vine roots and the microbiome of the soil .. .

Kelli, another great article. Three in a row. Great questions with this article. You had a grand spread of “terrior” from Oregon to almost Patagonia, from Spain and Australia.
