One of the issues with German Silvaner in US markets is that the top examples of the category -- GG wines -- are rarely imported, or arrive in such small quantities as to be commercially irrelevant. The basic wines can be great, though, and I sometimes compare Green Silvaner to that other Grüner, especially in terms of its usefulness at the table. &nbsp; </p>
