I haven't passed my 2 yet, but I want to study for it like I'm going for my 3 (which means like I'm taking my 4 I suppose). Creating a curriculum is something I'm struggling with heavily. I don't even know where to start. Also, do you have any tips on how to get the invite to Level 3 for the future?

You suggest that "Generally, there are 12 areas to investigate for every classic alcoholic beverage in the world - if you learn them, you should do fine at any wine exam. Not all 12 areas are vital to every beverage; you get to figure out which apply!"

Where would one find a description of these 12 areas?

Thank you for this post! As you explained, everyone studies differently. I do best with books. For certified I studied with Sales and Service for the Wine Professional, The Wine Bible, Windows on the World and the Intro Sommelier Packet. I know that for Advanced I will need some more in depth reading material. What can you recommend?
