&lt;p&gt;The section on Soave was a added bonus. &amp;nbsp;Interesting they once called it “Petit Chablis” Garganega has replaced Chardonnay in my house over the last few years. good stuff!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The producers we visited typically harvested grapes for recioto (or amarone) prior to those for dry wines. Of course, others may do it differently. This is similar to what occurs in Germany, where grapes harvested for BA or TBA styles may be harvested prior to those for the top dry wines.&lt;/p&gt;
