  • I have been enjoying the box of W Selyam Sonoma Coast '08 over the last 4 months. I missed the window to have the full Birthday line up of all of their '05 single vineyards, having had a brisk spring. I'm waiting for the fall. Sonoma Coast is insufficient to prep the tasting, so I'm going to open with wines from around the world--Alto Adige, J. Swan!, Tasmania, Central Otago, Piedmont, some relics from Montana (yes, they barely have a growing season), to name a few. Then, I'll roll out the last of the "08 RR's before the '05's, probably with red beets and duck, then pomegranate marinaded venison cured and dried, shot with a 12 gauge at close range with a hangover of Joe Swan's '06, even though it's still backwards, its so fine.
