Here's a fantastic documentary by Bertony Faustin of Abbey Creek focusing on Black (and marginalized ) Winemakers. Easy way to support Black Winemakers and hear their stories.
Thanks for posting. I can't wait to seek out these wines.
Regarding Maison Noir wines, Andre did a great interview with us in our podcast episode on Expanding the Reach of Wine. Also, viticulturists such as Brenae Royal (interviewed here), could be added to this list.
This is amazing. Many thanks for posting this. I'm proud to say that I know quite a few of these talented folks :-)
We MUST include Vision Cellars and Uncle Mac Macdonald...also Jenny Dawn Cellars. And La Fete Rose, and the Alex Cooper Project
Time to order some sparkling SB!
Is Vision Cellars still being produced?
Geoff Kruth Does Guildsomm have a scholarship or grant for need-based / minority wine training?
We are a 501(c)6. SommFoundation is a (c)3 legally set up to give scholarships.
To my knowledge yes. I hung out with Mac McDonald last year and had some selections dating as recent as 2017
Most definitely Brenae. She’s an up and coming legend
