GuildSomm is a nonprofit international membership organization for wine professionals that promotes education and community. We strive to uphold the values of hospitality, inclusivity, and integrity in our content, and we actively work to create a platform that welcomes a variety of perspectives. Our partner organization SommFoundation helps GuildSomm members meet their educational goals through scholarships and enrichment trips.

Chris Tanghe, MS
Interim Executive Director
Chris began his career in the kitchen, but inspired by front-of-house hospitality, he transitioned into wine. After working in restaurants across the country, Chris passed the MS exam in 2013. Since 2017, he has spearheaded masterclasses and contributed content as GuildSomm's chief instructor. He now serves as interim executive director.
CFO & Membership Director
Leveraging her background in software and business intelligence, Christine manages GuildSomm's finances, monitors analytics, provides member services, and offers HR and other key support for the team. She was one of GuildSomm's earliest employees, joining in 2010.
Director of Operations & Editor
After working in the nonprofit and food technology sectors, Stacy made her way into the wine industry through a stint at Oakland's Ordinaire Wine Bar. She guides GuildSomm's internal and external operations, manages member communication, oversees content development, and edits the site.
Director of Strategic Partnerships & Project Manager
Wine captured Emily's attention through a job at a wine Spanish wine shop in college, after which she moved from the east coast to join the San Francisco wine industry. She oversees GuildSomm's partner relationships, manages internal projects, and organizes masterclasses and other events.
Bryce entered the wine industry on a whim with a college internship. Previously serving as a junior editor at Vinous and content manager for Delectable, his work has appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits, and other publications.
Gray Randolph, Chair
Executive Vice President
Alongside his work in commercial real estate, Gray owns Appellation Wine Group, a wine brokerage firm in the Virginia market. He previously served as the president of Virginia's Make-A-Wish Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and he has also held the role of vice president of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation.
Andrew McNamara, MS, Vice Chair
Ace Wine and Spirits, LLC
Andy became a Master Sommelier in 2007. Prior to launching Ace Wine and Spirits, he was the vice president of wine development for Breakthru Beverage Group.

Nicholas is the director of global sourcing for E. & J. Gallo Winery. He began his career as a fine wine retailer at Zachys. Nicholas achieved the Master of Wine certification in 2014.
Tim Allen, CPA, Treasurer
I joined the GuildSomm board of directors to serve as the board’s financial professional, to maintain existing policies and procedures that are in place and functioning well, and to propose changes where the organization can benefit from change.

Yvonne has worked for Swire Hotels since 2010, when she was hired to build the wine program for their flagship Hong Kong property, The Upper House.

Dani is the founder of Le Vin Nécessaire, a wine consulting business that offers its clients personalized shopping and cellaring services as well as education.
Southwest Regional Manager
Kim is the southwest regional manager for Wilson Daniels. Prior to working in distribution, Kim trained as a sommelier and was wine director for Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Maple & Ash
Jason is wine director for Maple & Ash in Scottsdale. Under his leadership, the restaurant’s wine program was recognized by Wine Spectator with a Best Award of Excellence.
