We're here to help you expand your knowledge of the wine world, network, and stay up-to-date on industry news and trends. Our partner organization SommFoundation helps GuildSomm members meet their educational goals through scholarships and enrichment trips.

Geoff Kruth, MS
MS Geoff Kruth launched the GuildSomm website in 2009, joining his career in wine with his early background in technology. He manages the organization, hosts the GuildSomm podcast, develops content, and leads masterclasses. Geoff also travels and speaks extensively, promoting GuildSomm, wine education, and the sommelier profession.
Jennifer spent five years apprenticing at wineries around the world and studying winemaking at UC Davis. More recently, she worked in both viticulture and winemaking in Napa. She brings a crucial technical perspective to GuildSomm in the new role of technical writer.
Ashley Hausman, MW
Director of Education
Ashley entered the wine business with a retail job in New York while pursuing her MA in English Literature. She moved quickly toward wine certifications while working in retail and distribution and in 2017 passed the Master of Wine exam. Ashley is an active member and mentor in the Colorado wine community.
Director of Operations & Editor
After working in the nonprofit and food technology sectors, Stacy made her way into the wine industry through a stint at Ordinaire Wine Bar. She guides GuildSomm's internal and external operations, manages member communication, oversees content development, and edits the site.
Wine captured Emily's attention through a job at a wine shop while studying abroad in Spain. She honed her skills by working in wine PR and at San Francisco's Resolute Wine Bar and Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant before joining GuildSomm as event manager.
CFO & Membership Director
Leveraging her background in software and business intelligence, Christine manages GuildSomm's finances, monitors analytics, provides member services, and offers HR and other key support for the team. She was one of GuildSomm's earliest employees, joining in 2010.
Chris Tanghe, MS
Chris began his career in the kitchen, but inspired by front-of- house hospitality, he transitioned into wine. After working in restaurants across the country, Chris passed the MS exam in 2013. He spearheads masterclasses and webinars and contributes content as GuildSomm's chief instructor.
Kelli began her wine writing career while working as a sommelier in New York. In 2010, she moved to Napa to run the wine program at PRESS and make wine. Her 2015 book Napa Valley, Then & Now offers an unparalleled look at Napa Valley's history and winemakers.
Bryce entered the wine industry on a whim with a college internship. Previously serving as a junior editor at Vinous and content manager for Delectable, his work has appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, Wine & Spirits, Wine Enthusiast, and other publications.
Fred Dame, MS, Chairman
Educator & Consultant
Fred Dame passed the Master Sommelier exam in 1984 and founded the American branch of the Court of Master Sommeliers in 1986. A revered expert and mentor, he has been instrumental in GuildSomm's growth.
Gray Randolph, Vice Chairman
Executive Vice President
Alongside his work in commercial real estate, Gray owns Appellation Wine Group, a wine brokerage firm. He is an enthusiastic student of wine.
Jennifer Huether, MS
Educator & Consultant
In 2011, Jennifer became the first female Master Sommelier in Canada. She is a speaker, an instructor both within and outside the trade, and a wine consultant for restaurants.

Nicholas is the director of global sourcing for E. & J. Gallo Winery. Active in education, he achieved the Master of Wine certification in 2014.

MS June Rodil is a partner in the Houston-based Goodnight Hospitality restaurant group. She was previously VP of Operations for McGuire Moorman Hospitality.
Sabato Sagaria, MS
Master Sommelier since 2012, Sabato is the president of bartaco. Previously, he was the chief restaurant officer for the Union Square Hospitality Group.
