Wines of South Africa (WOSA), the industry association which promotes the exports of South African wine, is excited to announce that on March 13th from 11 am to 1 pm they will host a masterclass for sommeliers, wine directors, and retail wine buyers at the Embassy of South Africa in DC. A dozen wines representing the quality and diversity of South Africa’s burgeoning wine scene will be presented. Jim Clarke, former Wine Director at Megu and Armani Ristorante in New York, will put the wines in context, discussing terroir, traditions, and current trends.
Directly following the masterclass will be a walk-around tasting of additional wines from a range of importer portfolios. The walk-around portion will last from 1pm-4pm.
Please register for the Masterclass and or walk-around tasting here by March 6th - space is limited!
**Both the masterclass and tasting are free of charge for members of the trade and media — prior registration required and space is limited. Please bring a business card.
