We are excited to welcome a new member to the GuildSomm team, Jennifer Angelosante! Jenn joins GuildSomm as a technical writer and comes with a wealth of experience in winemaking and viticulture. She holds a Master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California and has worked in a winemaking capacity throughout the world, including time in Napa, Sonoma, the Willamette Valley, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and New Zealand. Most recently, she worked for Napa-based vineyard management company Silverado Farming Company as a viticulturist.
Jenn worked with us on developing the script for our viticulture video as well as the forthcoming winemaking video. Look forward to more new content from Jenn in the year ahead, as well as strengthened expertise on viticulture and winemaking from our team.
Please extend a warm welcome to Jenn—and ask her all of your burning questions about viticulture and enology!
Welcome Jenn! Very excited you're on the team!
Fantastic! I look forward to learning from you, Jenn.
Congratulations Jennifer!!!!! Looking forward to your work.
Welcome Jenn. As a viticulturalist/ enologist, what types of wine do you enjoy making, and what types of vino do you like to drink?
Hi All! Thanks very much for the welcome. Please do ask me your questions, I am at your service
Raymond, I like to drink *good* wine and if I'm lucky, *great* wine, but what this means exactly depends so much on context - the setting, the people, the food. I have never been known to turn down Lapierre and am a big fan of Lopez de Heredia Viña Tondonia, especially the blanc. If the sky's the limit, White Burg all the way! I like to think my tastes are constantly evolving and try to drink and appreciate a range of wines.
In terms of winemaking, I've primarily worked with Pinot noir, Bordeaux varietals, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon blanc. All of them are interesting for different reasons, but if I had to pick one, Chardonnay is my one true love.
I'm excited to be a part of the dialogue, cheers to a delicious 2019!
Welcome to the family!
Congratulations!!!! I am looking forward to your input.
Welcome to the community!! I look forward to picking your brain on the whys in winemaking and viticulture!
