I'm organizing a wine tasting for Halloween (I know it's early) but I was wondering if anyone had some insight or knowledge of wines that have an eerie legend or background behind them. I'm not interested in anything that is "kitschy" and have a pretty good list working so far. I've exhausted all my research at this point and thought this would be the best place to turn to next for anything I haven't heard of yet. Thank you in advance for any help. Cheers!
What about Bone Dry Cabernet from Elk Creek winery?
Yep was going to include one :)

Scarecrow! I mean a little high end, but how perfect for a Halloween themed event!

The Premier Cru Chablis vineyard, L’homme Mort, means ‘the dead man’ and was the site of a 5th century cemetery.

Behren's Family Winery, (Erna Schein) Cemetery Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa
Thank you Stephen, I'm going to see if I can swing this one...have you had it? Sounds Spectacular!!!
I had a couple of bottles of the 2009 vintage.
I didn’t take down notes, but it was big bold and delicious for sure.
Actually, the last bottle of the 2009 I had was two years ago for Halloween! ;-)
Pavie-Macquin has two oak leaves and a noose on the label. Legend has it the site was used as the hangman's office.
Lucky you, I'm "dying" to try it. Thanks again!!!
Thank you Chris, just picked one up!!!
