Does anyone have a winery connection, or know of any smaller family owned wineries that do tours, in the Ribera del Duero region? I'll be there in May and was looking for a unique food and wine experience - not just touring cellars and wineries.
Bodegas Arzuaga, family owned but certainly not small, has a tour of their "wild" boar and deer ranch at the top of the plateau. After reading about wild boar food pairings associated with just about every European wine region, I thought it would be fun to go see them. Touristy, yes, but entertaining and the vineyards are right there, as well. https://www.hotelarzuaga.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=34&Itemid=117
Emilio Moro - also not small, but they provide “enotourism” and are family owned. www.emiliomoro.com/.../
Vizcarra was an amazing visit and both the father and son led the tour.
Pradorey. Huge estate, restaurant, hotel, church, tours, all kinds of stuff.
