Oregon Wine Trail - New York

Monday, May 6th in New York City

We’re hitting the trail with 60 Oregon wineries and our friends at Olympia Provisions, Jacobsen Salt Co., Stumptown Coffee Roasters, the Oregon Cheese Guild and more for a grand happening of Oregonian wine, food and personality. No white table cloths. No orange cheese cubes. Instead, a generous pour of Oregon’s fine wine and pioneering spirit.

Oregon wine is on a roll in New York. According to Nielsen data, Oregon wine sales increased 21% in New York over the last 3 years. Eric Asimov of The New York Times must have felt that same momentum when he recently wrote, “Oregon is right now the single most exciting winemaking area in the United States.”

Why is this little wine region, just 1% of the total US wine production, making such a big impression on New York and across the country?

Join Pacific Northwest-based Masters, Bree Stock MW and Chris Tanghe MS for a multi-faceted presentation and discussion on the AVAs, varieties and business of wine in Oregon’s powerhouse region, the Willamette Valley.

Bree and Chris will share personal stories of discovery around the region and lead a tasting through a diverse collection of wines that have left an impression on them over the years, including library wines from iconic producers.

Attend Mastering Willamette Valley Wine to walk away with a stronger understanding of:

  • The Willamette Valley’s strong selling points in the competitive New York wine market
  • The diverse geology and climate of Oregon and how they define the Willamette Valley
  • Pinot noir expressions, in addition to the varietal diversity found throughout the region
  • The ageability of Willamette Valley wines
