Last time I took the advanced, there were so many questions on RIVERS that I thought I was in a nautical navigation test.
I'm going to name a river, you answer what wine region its in, and ask us another river.
OK, here we go:
Isle?
Dordogne, France, tributary of the Dordogne River?
Serein???
Serein is in Chablis.
Ngaruoruro?
Oops...spelled Ngaruroro. Where is spell check when you need it?
Do you mean Ngarara in Martinborough???
Sil?
Ribeira Sacra
Lot?
Cahors AOP, Southwest France
Ebro?
Rioja DOCa, northern Spain
Wairau?
Wairau dissects Marlborough NZ
Ain??
Southeast France, Jaura/Savoie, flows to the Rhone
Two pointer-
This river ( ? ) flows past Alba and Asti to Piedmont's largest river ( ? )
Po and Tanaro i believe.
Vienne?
Chinon
Bodrog?
Tokaji.
To clear up the answer to my previous post, for the Ngaruroro River, we were looking for the Hawkes Bay region of New Zealand.
Main River?
Tributary of Rhine. Franken.
Agly River? And two more named_____ are important in this area?
Germany, goes through Franconia and also the site of Hocheim am Main in the Rheingau.
Struma?
Roussillon, and that would be Tech and Canterrane.
Struma again?
