Last time I took the advanced, there were so many questions on RIVERS that I thought I was in a nautical navigation test.
I'm going to name a river, you answer what wine region its in, and ask us another river.
OK, here we go:
Isle?
Dordogne, France, tributary of the Dordogne River?
Serein???
Serein is in Chablis.
Ngaruoruro?
Roussillon, and that would be Tech and Canterrane.
Struma again?
starts in Bulgaria, empties into Greece
Ruamahanga River?
North Island of New Zealand, bisects Wellington.
Okanagan?
British Columbia
Siurana?
Wow....Had to look up that one.
Lets try Biobio
Priorat was the Siurana
Biobio is in southern Chile, if it weren't for Otago, it would be the worlds most southern wine region.
Drome
Drome tributary of the Rhône River in SE France
Palouse?
Great exercise! Is there a good comprehensive rivers list somewhere?
I wish! I haven' t found one though. It would be a valuable document if anyone were to ever put one together.
Had to look up Palouse - SE Washington state by the Idaho border, a tributary of the Snake, with some awe-inspiring views:

What River flows into Lake Balaton in Western Hugary?
