Recently heard that I may need to know proper sake service for the certified exam. Looked around a bit, and can't find anything on the guild.

In Japan there are several different types of sake service which involve traditional vessels. Most restaurants outside of Japan don't carry these traditional items, and so we have to be flexible. As a result there aren't any formal sake service standards for the Court, but sake service could very much be something that is asked of you at an exam.
In an exam setting just do as you normally would: If a glass of wine is ordered--even if it is sake--you must make a decision about glassware. Maybe you will be told how much wine to pour; maybe you will be not. It is up to you to make a decision based on what you have and what is being asked of you.
