For the past few years, I've had the idea of getting some 1990's to open up on my 30th birthday. Lot of age for some wines and regions, but 1990 was also a spectacular vintage for many regions world wide- the grapes must have known I was coming ;)
Does anyone have experience with this year from any region? Any place or producers I should start hunting down?
Any tips are helpful,
budget would be a helpful parameter if you are actually looking for specific producer recommendations. Both Northern Rhone and Napa CS are usually very consistent and pretty safe bets with options at all price points. Although 1991 was better in both regions.
Good point- Id say in the $200-$300 range. I would rather have a few bottles at that price than 1 or 2 at higher.
