For those who are budgeting their paychecks or salary for wine for at home, how much do you think is a responsible % of your monthly income to go toward wines you buy for at home as well as when you go out to dinner? Especially for someone who is going through the court. This could include how much you spend for tasting group.
So if I am being honest with myself I spend probably ~5-8% of my salary on wine. I just passed my Certified and am going for Advanced. I make good money however I do not work in the industry. Meaning I do not have access to wholesale, leftover, shared wine like others here do. I actively look for ways to get the most bang per buck though. Its definitely more than I would prefer to spend.
I'm at the 6-8% but that does include wine to simply just drink and wine for my wife and company as well. I'm fortunate to work in the industry and have plenty of access to tasting wine throughout my workday. Which is where I do most of my note taking/studying. Most of the wine I drink at home is simply for pleasure. No grids, no format, just drink.
