I am headed to British Columbia in October. It’s a quick trip and I won’t have time to make it to the Okanagan Valley, unfortunately. If any of you have suggestions for tasting rooms/urban wineries near and around the Vancouver metro area, I would truly appreciate your recommendations!
Music to my ears! It sounds like your trip is centred around the city, Vancouver is a fabulous place and I hope you have a packed itinerary of eating and drinking. There is the Vancouver Urban Winery https://vancouverurbanwinery.com the only Urban Winery in the City as far as I know.
If you wanted to check out a wide range of BC wine I would head to Tap & Barrel, Provence Marinaside, and Edible Canada. The Swirl Shops are also exclusively BC VQA wines. Don't think that good BC wine has to be VQA, there are mountains of great wines that for one reason or another do not seek VQA membership.
There are wineries in the Fraser Valley growing region, I would research the region to decide which ones would be worth a visit.

If you are planning to be on Vancouver Island at all, my family has a 15,000 case winery with a full-service restaurant in Mill Bay. In the next 2-4 weeks we will have about 100ton of fruit (Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris mostly) going across the crush pad. It is about a 45min drive from Victoria and about the same from either the Swartz Bay or Nanaimo Ferry terminals. Please reach out if you happen to be in the area.
