Nebbiolo beyond Barolo & Barbaresco; Varietal Focus (Monday Oct 1st, 7pm @ 78610)

UVAS bring you an encore of Varietal Focus on Nebbiolo! We'll explore the two most recognized denominations of Barolo and Barbaresco...but be ready to explore Piemonte beyond it!
We'll additionally explore the regions of Langhe, Ghemme, Gattinara, Costa della Sesia, Roero, and Lombardy's Valtellina.
We'll try some samples as old as 2000 vintage, plus an aromatized Nebbiolo!

Tour de España Master Pairing Dinner ( Monday Oct 8th, 7pm @ 78610)

Put on your Gourmand hats ladies and gents!
In an effort to elevate our knowledge of classic pairings, UVAS brings you this multi-course regional Spanish paired tasting dinner, touching on the historical importance of each of the wine regions, and why each wine pairing is chosen for the culinary dishes.
You'll get to try some boutique producers, organic and biodynamic farming, fresh and old vintages, wines of production method as late harvest, sparkling, naturally frizzante, avant garde regional methods, and some unique varieties, plus a spirit or two!
We have 11 courses total: an aperitif, 9 dishes with 11 wines plus a digestif, mirroring the format of our two previous French dinners.
Limit this to the first 6 people that can confirm attendance.
Minimum quorum is 4 people.

Stairway to Priorat; Regional Focus ( Monday Oct 22nd, 7pm @ 78610)

By request, UVAS bring you closer to the heavens to explore the terroir of Priorat DOQ.
Taste the range of older and newer vintages of boutique and cult producers, with a fair palette from sparkling, white, red, rose' and dessert wines! We'll explore Priorat, vineyard of the gods, in one of the most extreme Catalan environments, where Carignan is King and Grenache is Queen.
A minimum of 13 wines.
