This week: Mosel
Where are most of the famous vineyards in the Mosel planted and why?
In the Mosel (which also applies to much of Germany) important vineyards are planted on slopes near rivers or bodies of water to capitalize on smaller diurnal shifts and the reflection of sunlight. This can be very beneficial in colder regions with shorter growing seasons. Dive into our Germany Study Guide for more information!
