We've posted our second blind tasting video, focused on red wines and led by our Chief Instructor, MS Christopher Tanghe!
Watch it here. Did you miss the initial installment? Catch up with white wine first!
And remember, you can always find and follow all of our videos on our YouTube and Vimeo channels.
Is this something that GuildSomm could continue monthly whatever is convenient to the staff and move through classic testable grapes? Its great seeing these wines broken down in a methodical way without strictly adhering to the grid and slowing the process down. Thank you to the participants putting themselves 'out there" for these videos!
Darren,
This isn't an easy task! Washington tends to exude brightness out of the glass, there is a vibrancy that some think is a result from the extended daylight hours during the growing season. Napa tends to have the most tannin structure of the three, while WA can have more pronounced pyrazine due to the oceanic influence. Keep in mind that it really is influenced by producer as well, but these are good starting points.
Nice one ! Thank you !
I haven't tasted a lot of CS from California(Napa), Washington and West Australia.
So what's the different between them, someone could tell me? Appreciate!
Great Video, Thanks
